I grew up on the south shore of Long Island and remember when our now busy streets were mostly potato fields. I was part of the first graduating class at Douglas MacArthur H.S., and went on to graduate with my B.A. degree from Adelphi University, as a biology major. I've always enjoyed science and continued in a Master's biology program while deciding my future plans.

I've always enjoyed working with my hands and interrelating with people. I decided on dentistry and was accepted at New York University College of Dentistry. I spent the next four years studying in Manhattan.
Long Island is the best of two worlds. It has the easier pace of suburbia, the ocean, and close proximity to a great city.
The best thing about practicing on Long Island is the people. We have developed wonderful relationships with patients who became friends. It's been special to watch their families grow; some now have their own children.
I've always believed it's a major responsibility to constantly keep current with the major advancements in knowledge and technology in dentistry. Dentistry has never been better, with dramatic reductions in cavities, the high success rate of implants, prevention therapies and amazing cosmetics such as whitening teeth, tooth colored fillings, porcelain veneers, bonding, and the ability to comfortably treat our patients and relieve their concerns.
Shortly after graduation from dental school, I received my fellowship degree from the Academy of General Dentistry for continued education. I attended the Pankey Institute for Advanced Dentistry in Florida. I have volunteered my time for over 15 years at Long Island Jewish and Nassau County Medical Center teaching dentistry to recent dentists as a pay back for all the valuable continuing education others have provided to me.
Staying current in continued education and with new and improved technologies is equally as important as practicing dentistry. I am presently a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and the Nassau County Dental Society. I am proud of the advancements our profession has made and nothing gives me more satisfaction then being able to provide these services to my patients. I enjoy making people more relaxed and comfortable and proud of their healthy smiles.
